Eric's Story:
Living with his grandmother and owing over $4,000 in court fines, Eric dropped out of both high school and alternative school. He was then fired from every job he got. Eric worked with a WIA Career Advisor and was able to obtain his GED within a few short weeks. He then received training at SCC for welding and found a new career with his new skills.
Kim's Story:
Down on her luck, Kim struggled to get back on her feet. Working with her Career Advisor, she began to look at career options. Kim was able to brush up on her work skills, took additional training opportunities, and landed a job that she enjoys. She now works full-time at over $13/ hour!
